This is probably too late since this post is a year old, but if you go to Nurtured by Nature conservatory in Valley Center, CA you can go into the capybara exhibit, feed them and pet them. That’s just a small part of their experience, it’s expensive but I highly recommend. Capybaras can be found at the San Diego Zoo.
