Cable usually has latency under 10 ms in my experience even less than 5 if there is fiber to the building or nearest node. On TMobile though, I get between 26-30 ms, which is really a small price to pay for usable internet. If we set it to use DHCP instead, it gets out to the internet but we need it to have a static IP. I tested the other ports 3-8 with a laptop and none provided an IP via DHCP, only port #2.
