A few months ago I heard that Spirit had like 1500 apps, resumes, whatever on file, so why when I look at these pilot hiring info sites, It seems like they are amost always Cost and Funding for Accelerated Airline Pilot Track. Accelerated Airline Pilot Training cost: $97,500 Tuition fees (estimated) Cost includes: 225 hours of Ground School. 338.5 hours of Individualized Flight Instruction and Briefings. 185.5 hours in technical advanced aircraft, for example Cessna 172, Cirrus SR20, and Piper Archer.One of the pilots that was needed for the flight wasn't able to make it through security because it was closed. Since we didn't have this other pilot, the flight was delayed until 8:30am. We were then kicked out of security and offered cots to sleep on. I'd say go with the Spirit offer because you'll have access to Frontier base if the merger goes that way or a Jetblue pilot with potentially better contract upside if the merger goes that way.
